Most parents feel anxious before the procedure. That’s natural.
You’re trusting someone with your newborn — and you deserve to know exactly what will happen, why it’s safe, and who’s behind the mask.
That’s why at CircSanté, you’ll always meet your doctor personally.
We’ll explain the process step by step, answer every question, and ensure your baby is comfortable from the first moment to full recovery.
Families choose CircSanté for one simple reason: we treat every child as if they were our own.

Each family comes to us with the same wish: safety, comfort, and confidence. Here’s how we deliver all three — with care that extends beyond the procedure.

Your baby’s procedure is performed by Dr. Jacques Balayla, a certified obstetrician-gynecologist who has guided thousands of families through childbirth and the early days of parenthood. He brings that same precision and gentleness to every circumcision — often caring for the same newborns he supported throughout pregnancy, ensuring a natural continuity of care you can feel confident in.

We use the Mogen Clamp, a method refined over decades for its speed, safety, and comfort. The procedure is completed in under 2 minutes, under local anesthesia, minimizing discomfort and reducing healing time — with results that are both clean and natural.

Our clinic was designed with parents in mind — bright, quiet, and spotless. We maintain hospital-grade sterilization standards, but without the stress or chaos of a hospital setting. We also play calming music and provide sucrose solutions for your baby's comfort. Parents often tell us the environment itself helped them relax the moment they walked in.

Care doesn’t stop when you leave. You’ll receive clear aftercare instructions and dedicated contact information, and a follow-up to make sure healing is smooth and complete. Questions are answered promptly and personally — because peace of mind is part of the service.

Every parent wants to know exactly what to expect — no surprises, no uncertainty.
Here’s how your visit unfolds, step by step, so you can feel completely at ease from the moment you book to the moment you leave.

Scheduling is simple. You fill the online form and our team confirms your appointment promptly and sends clear information about what to bring and how to prepare. If you have any questions before coming in, let us know and a member of our team will contact you promptly.

When you arrive, you’re welcomed into a calm, private space. You’ll meet Dr. Balayla personally — no rushed handoffs, no confusion. He’ll take time to answer every question, explain the process step by step, and make sure you feel fully at ease before the procedure begins.

The circumcision is performed in two gentle stages. First, local anesthesia is applied, and your baby rests comfortably with you while it takes effect. A few minutes later, the procedure is completed — quick, precise, and nearly painless — using the Mogen Clamp technique in a calm, sterile environment designed to keep both parent and child at ease.

Before you leave, you’ll receive clear written instructions and direct contact information should you need anything at all. We also follow up to ensure your baby’s healing is smooth and worry-free. Most parents tell us they’re surprised at how simple and reassuring the experience was — and that’s exactly how it should feel.

For over 6 years, Dr. Jacques Balayla has guided thousands of families through pregnancy, delivery, and those first unforgettable days of parenthood. As a Royal College–certified obstetrician-gynecologist, he brings the highest standards of medical care to every patient he meets.
After years of supporting parents in the delivery room, Dr. Balayla founded CircSanté to provide the same calm, compassionate environment for newborn circumcision — where parents feel informed, respected, and at ease.
He believes that good medicine begins with listening. That every parent deserves to understand the procedure in plain language. And that a doctor’s role is not only to treat — but to reassure, explain, and care.
“At CircSanté, our role is not just medical — it’s to ensure you and your family feel comforted, informed, and cared for every step of the way.” — Dr. Jacques Balayla

"From the first appointment with Dr Zukor, I felt at ease to ask questions and very pleased with his advice and explanations... The operation went very well as expected and I was surprised that Dr Zukor called my wife in the waiting room to let her know that everything went very well. I never felt so comfortable with any other doctor, as I did with Dr. Zukor. He is amazing, compassionate, helpful, friendly along with his assisting doctors, nurses and staff. He came to see me and talk to me multiple times before the operation, after the operation and called me at home the day after."

"He and his team were so efficient and precise, helpful and professional. I did bilateral TKR, and although I was VERY scared before the operation, I listened to his advice and accepted to 'replace' both knees at the same time. Now, I am working (and walking) after 2 months!!! Walking without pain! I cannot describe the feeling of gratitude to him and his colleagues and whole postoperative team."

"I have the utmost of respect for this amazing surgeon! His gentle, caring way from the moment I first met him… He instilled confidence in me from the moment he opened his mouth it was so clear to me I was in the very best hands possible. I have had both my hips replaced by this incredible man, my experience on both occasions was wonderful... and on the second occasion the very same day!!! Dr. Zukor was there making sure everything was as it should be and bringing me comfort with his lovely manner."

"He took me on as a patient and has been treating me so well. He came into his office on his day off to help me in an emergency. Excellent doctor, he really cares about his patients."

"I'm finally able to get my quality of life back in order!! God Bless Dr. Zukor!!"

There’s no rush, no pressure, and no hard decisions to make today — just a calm conversation with a physician who understands what this moment means for you and your family.
When you’re ready, we’ll walk you through every step — safely, gently, and with care that extends well beyond the appointment.
Every parent has questions — and you should. Here are the answers we give most often, so you can feel confident and informed before making your decision.
No. The procedure is performed under local anesthesia, which completely numbs the area. Most babies cry briefly when they’re being positioned — not from pain, but from being swaddled. Our goal is always the same: to keep your baby as comfortable and calm as possible.
We use the Mogen Clamp, a medically proven method known for its speed, precision, and minimal discomfort. It’s the same technique trusted by pediatric specialists across North America. While the process of placing baby, providing anesthesia, and preparing the sterile field takes about 10-15 minutes, the actual circumcision procedure usually takes less than 2 minutes.
In most cases, recovery is quick and uncomplicated — usually within 7 to 10 days. We provide clear aftercare instructions and follow up personally to make sure healing is progressing smoothly.
Yes, if you wish. Some parents prefer to stay close; others prefer to wait just outside. We respect your choice entirely and will make sure you’re comfortable with whatever feels right for you.
Newborn circumcision is a private medical service and is not covered by the provincial health plan (RAMQ).
Please contact us directly for complete pricing details and scheduling options. We’ll be happy to answer your questions and explain exactly what’s included.
The ideal window is during the first few 4 weeks after birth, but we accommodate up to 8 weeks after birth. At this stage, healing is fastest, and the baby remains very calm throughout. We can usually accommodate appointments within a few days of booking.
You’ll have direct access to your doctor and our team even after your visit. Whether it’s a quick reassurance or a photo check-in, we’re here to help until everything is fully healed.
